The Engaged Dating Columnist, 10! Morning Show on NBC in Philadelphia, Valentine's Day 2007:
"Mr. Write" (or "How I Proposed In A Magazine Article"), New Jersey Monthly, February 2007: As a syndicated gender columnist, I have accumulated a written, published record of every moment of my relationship with my girlfriend. It would be expected, then, that I'd propose to her in the column. But doing something expected wouldn't fit the bizarrely public nature of our relationship, so when the New Jersey Monthly interviewed me for a profile, I thought of an idea. When the magazine published, Deborah came home to read this article with the unexpected ending.
Gay Marriage, CN8, December 2006: I appear
semi-regularly on CN8, the Comcast news station that airs from Maryland
to Maine. This is my most recent appearance about the New Jersey
Supreme Court decision calling for the legislature to create civil
unions or marriage for gay people:
"Hearts And Minds," Presstime: The Magazine of the Newspaper Association of America, July 2006: Matt Katz spends most of his time covering murders, local
politics and school board issues as a metro reporter for the
Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, N.J. Once a week, though, Katz is allowed
to take off his tie, loosen his shirt collar, and flex an untraditional
journalistic muscle: his heart.
